We all know Valentine’s Day is actually not so much about the place you’re at but all about that special someone you’re spending it with—whether that’s your significant other, your best friend, or simply yourself. However, let’s be honest: choosing the perfect destination is never a bad idea, either. To ensure you’re properly prepared, I’m presenting numa’s top 5 stays for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day getaway. In 2023, it’s all about the non-cliché experiences. So forget about that trip to Paris, and especially the tacky brunch with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Be original and get aboard to discover some great alternatives all over Europe from previously unexpected angles.
IVY - SALZBURG
Ivy is a hidden gem of tranquility in Salzburg-Hellbrunn that seems to be designed for a Valentine’s Day getaway. It’s truly an oasis of living in the heart of the metropolis, adorned with hand-picked details and curated art. The Mediterranean garden and the fishpond in our backyard create the perfect atmosphere to relax in between your adventures in Europe’s most vivid capital. Once home to punk movements and the GDR opposition, the area of Prenzlauer Berg has turned into one of the nicest districts of Berlin while still preserving its bohemian charm. Today the neighbourhood is popular among families, students, artists, and well-known personalities of the German cultural scene. Within walking distance, you’re in the trendy “Mitte“ area, where you'll find beautiful cafes, restaurants, bars, and art galleries.
BRIO - BARCELONA
This Valentine’s Day, fall in love with Brio, our trendy apartment nestled in Barcelona’s exciting neighbourhood Gràcia.
